One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache came together during last year’s monolithic North American trek which united both bands. Amidst the chaos of tour life, the two groups found time to record together at Machines With Magnets in Providence, Rhode Island. The session eventually culminated into the harrowing sounds found on One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, which is ultimately an audio reflection of their surroundings and their inability to cope therein. The record includes two bonus tracks as well as a bastardized rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “The Butcher.”

Pitchfork dubs the offering, “…a document of the overwhelming power of depression,” Metal Injection observes, “One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache is unusual, disgusting, and just as harrowing as you’d come to expect from either THE BODY or FULL OF HELL. It’s one of the only truly unhinged albums that has come out in the last several years,” while Decibel issues, “There’s some fucked up chemistry on their collaboration. On tracks like ‘Fleshworks’ and ‘The Little Death,” the bands forge new sounds that couldn’t have happened in any other context. Mostly though, the reinforce each other’s impulses towards abstraction.” New Noise Magazine calls the record “…an absolute assault on your senses that will leave an imprint for years to come…. For maximum experience, listen at full volume in a cold, bare, and unclean room with flickering lights while half naked and in a deranged state.” Adds A.V. Club, “THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are two of the most prolific bands in extreme music. While other groups that release so much material typically lapse into mediocrity at some point, both of these bands are seemingly inexhaustible wells of brilliance. One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache is a perfect example.”

“A document of the overwhelming power of depression ... Throughout they’re taking risks, abandoning straightforward metal trappings to pile noxious noise blasts on shredded 808s (‘Bottled Urn’) or turning Leonard Cohen ballads into doom-metal dystopias… But even as they explore alien aesthetics, THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are constantly finding ways to uphold the spirit of each other's work.” — Pitchfork

This Friday marks the official release day of One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, the fittingly-titled, collaborative debut between apocalyptic doom duo, THE BODY, and grindcore/harsh noise miscreants, FULL OF HELL. In celebration of its release, today Decibel Magazine is traumatizing the airwaves with a stream of the record in its ravaging entirety.

Additionally, gluttons for punishment can view the video accompaniment to second movement, “Fleshworks,” still playing at Noisey HERE.

Neurot Recordings will issue One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache on March 25th, 2016 with preorder bundles available at THIS LOCATION.

Pitchfork calls the record, “a document of the overwhelming power of depression,” further elaborating, “Throughout they’re taking risks, abandoning straightforward metal trappings to pile noxious noise blasts on shredded 808s (‘Bottled Urn’) or turning Leonard Cohen ballads into doom-metal dystopias… But even as they explore alien aesthetics, THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are constantly finding ways to uphold the spirit of each other's work. They’re united in their disposition, up until the record’s final moment, a sample of the HBO movie You Don’t Know Jack that seems to sum up what precedes it: ‘Loss, loss, loss, loss, loss.’”

“This release never feels like it is heading too much in one direction, managing to stay dynamic and repugnant at all time by switching between tortured doom and frantic attack,” issues Pure Grain Audio in a 9/10 rating. “That tortured vibe carries through One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache in every choice these bands make, resulting in a record that is both cohesive and hellish, and inevitably providing the perfect soundtrack to the latter.” In a perfect 5/5 score, New Noise Magazine hails, “a landmark release in the realm of all heavy music,” and an, “absolute assault on your senses that will leave an imprint for years to come and not be forgotten. For maximum experience, listen at full volume in a cold, bare and unclean room with flickering lights while half naked and in a deranged state.” Heavy Blog Is Heavy concurs in a 4.5/5 review noting,“One part noisy electronics, one part thick, droning sludge, one part blast-beat-centric hardcore, and a whole hell of a lot of negative emotions, One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache is the result of two extremely competent bands doing what they do best, together. This is not a pretty record; this is not a subtle record. This album is everything disgusting and vile on this planet mashed into a half-hour of sound.”

Following the release of One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, the nihilistic union will descend upon Europe together this April. The string of dates will see the bands traveling across the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Spain and Portugal, including appearances at the renowned Roadburn Festival and providing support for Converge’s “Blood Moon” spectacle at the Electric Brixton, London.

THE BODY And FULL OF HELL Unveil “Fleshworks” Video At Noisey; One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache To See Release Next Week Via Neurot

Next week will see the release of One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, the fittingly-titled, collaborative debut between apocalyptic doom duo, THE BODY, and grindcore/harsh noise sculptors, FULL OF HELL. Set for release on March 25th via Neurot Recordings, the offering came together during last year’s massive North American trek which united both bands.

As a precursor to its release, Vice’s music portal Noisey premieres the video accompaniment to second movement, “Fleshworks.” “We went into this track wanting to create a song that was mellow yet driving,” elaborates FULL OF HELL vocalist Dylan Walker, “We were certainly channeling a lot of what THE BODY has been moving towards and a lot of what FULL OF HELL has been into for some time. Dave, Lee, Seth and Keith [Machines With Magnets] all played drums on this track at the same time. It was a great feeling to have Chrissy Wolpert of the Assembly Of Light Choir singing on the track as well. Our friend Mitch Wells [Thou] created the video with only the lyrics and basic album themes to guide him. He made something that is very different for both bands and something we are very proud of. He captured what we were writing about from an angle that we hadn't even considered.”

Nestled between the harrowing originals that THE BODY and FULL OF HELL created for their upcoming full-length, One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, is a cover so radically reworked that even the closest listener might miss it. “The Butcher,” originally by Leonard Cohen, is shattered in to bits and pieced back together to create a jarring noisescape, mimicking the blues scale with landslides of shifting feedback, and orated in the trademark style of Chip King

Forged in 1999 in Little Rock, Arkansas and now based in Portland, Oregon, THE BODY has been massively prolific since their inception with a sound that is uncategorized and unmatched. The duo writes and acts as one, a deafening wail against a failing species.

FULL OF HELL was formed in 2009 in Ocean City, Maryland. In similar ethos, the band has remained relentlessly productive both on stage and in recorded form and has continued to challenge themselves, channeling resonances from across the spectrum of extreme music into an uncompromising wall of oppressive sound.

Through their own respective recordings, both THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are internationally-revered as forward-thinking entities of harsh music, delivering their audio torment through incredibly intense and often unorthodox methods.

Neurot Recordings will issue One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache on March 25th, 2016 with preorder bundles available at THIS LOCATION.

As their ongoing live actions attest to, both acts are unstoppable tour machines and initially joined forces for a massive 2015 North American live takeover. Amidst the chaos, the two groups found time to record together at Machines With Magnets in Providence, Rhode Island. The sessions culminated in the execution of One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, which is ultimately an audio reflection of their surroundings and their inability to cope therein. The result boasts eight scathing hymns along with two bonus tracks.

In similar ethos, the band has remained relentlessly productive both on stage and in recorded form and has continued to challenge themselves, channeling resonances from across the spectrum of extreme music into a uncompromising wall of oppressive sound.

Through their own respective recordings, both THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are internationally-revered as forward-thinking entities of harsh music, delivering their audio torment through incredibly intense and often unorthodox methods.

Neurot Recordings will release One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache on March 25th, 2016 with preorder bundles AVAILABLE NOW.

In similar ethos, the band has remained relentlessly productive both onstage and in recorded form and has continued to challenge themselves, channeling resonances from across the spectrum of extreme music into a nihilistic wall of oppressive sound.

Through their own respective recordings, both THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are internationally-revered as forward-thinking entities of harsh music, delivering their audio torment through incredibly intense and often unorthodox methods. THE BODY’s 2010-released All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood sophomore LP stands among the band’s high points and remains on of the most groundbreaking and frightening albums in recent times. Their subsequent releases, including several LPs and more have continued to expand upon this seminal release. Similarly, FULL OF HELL rapidly became a favorite amongst hardcore, grind, death and noise metal fans upon their formation with an incredibly energetic and destructive live attack. Their 2013-released Rudiments Of Mutilation sophomore LP solidified them as one of the most damaging new acts going, and since its detonation, the band’s intensity and hunger for experimentation continues to magnify.

Both acts are proven collaborators, relishing the results of collective efforts to create life-numbing constellations of distortion and depravity. The two members of THE BODY have joined forces with arcane producer The Haxan Cloak (Bobby Krlic) for the I Shall Die Here long player, Louisiana’s darkest sludge troupe Thou for Released From Love and You, Whom I Have Always Hated, as well as Nothing Passes with Braveyoung and a myriad of splits with artists as diverse and detesting as Australia’s Whitehorse, Japan’s Vampillia, Rhode Island’s Sandworm and New Jersey’s Krieg taking their virulent, insidious influence to unsuspecting destinations both stateside and abroad. FULL OF HELL made a huge impression on the ears of fans and those previously unfamiliar with the band with 2014’s two-part alliance with internationally feared noisemonger Merzbow, which resulted in the FULL OF HELL & Merzbow LP and the subsequent Sister Fawn EP. Their discography is littered with noise-sodden demos and splits that wrench FULL OF HELL into fresh dimensions of heaviness and extremity, and their constant live actions never cease to stun.

Neurot Recordings will issue One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache on March 25th, 2016 with preorder bundles AVAILABLE NOW.
