For 10th Anniversary, Dark Buddha Rising Announces Plans to Reissue "The Black Trilogy"

It has been 10 years since the first riffs of Dark Buddha Rising were summoned in the depths of the Wastement. We never thought that the path would guide us where we are now, the places we have been or the moments we have experienced through these years. Yet we have followed the fundamental principles that were clear from the beginning in order to create this music from our hearts and we will remain on this path to the very end.

We are deeply grateful to those who have supported, helped and worked with us. Especially past members J. Niemi and S. Kuosmanen for their effort in the band at that time. Also to T. Santamaa for his spring 2016 duties. V. Vatanen has withdrawn from the front of the amps to the production sanctum and remains in the circle as a creative force. There won't be a substitute, yet the amps remain the same.

At this dawn, we can see the shapes of things that are waiting in the shadows. For us, the thick darkness is holding the treasures which are to be unveiled as inspiration guides us towards them. This will eventually form the new album, a celebration of rebirth and transformation.

By this 10th anniversary, we will reissue the first three albums as 'The Black Trilogy'. We have recorded the new material from the latest live set, which will form an EP in the future. Also 'Live at Roadburn 2016' is in the horizon. More details of things to come in the future.

Remember the Prophecy IX:
”I exhaled and the skies cleared, revealing the stars. And then, from a distant event horizon arose the black sun. Rays of black light illuminated pyramid structures in the desert, as I watched hovering above. Carved in the monolithic stones were alien symbols that became decrypted before my eyes. And the I became the eye, the self dissolved in the light. Sun worshippers emerged from the sands shifting in the solar wind that carried their voice.”

DARK BUDDHA RISING: 'Inversum' Available Now from Neurot Recordings

DARK BUDDHA RISING: Inversum - Available Now!
Release Date: September 25th, 2015

Regarded as the opening of the Third Cycle Of Dark Buddha Rising, Inversum was recorded, produced and mixed by the band in the bowels of the Wastement, the self-proclaimed “asylum of eternal feedback,” and welcomes the addition of new Dark Buddha Rising recruits, V. Vatanen (guitar, vocals), J. Saarivuori (keyboards) and M. Neuman (vocals).

As the dust of centuries has settled on pages unwritten, the gates are opened only within. In ascension rites of introvert spirits, the signature of passing flesh is inscribed in the memorial garden as a note of entrance. Succeeding this initiation, all levels are accessible through death transpired as severance of the flesh and the spirit immortal. As the remnants of flesh dance to the endless pulses of the multiverse, the underlying directives in biorhythms to which these pulses are synchronized (from ego to the universe on the left hand and no ego in the void beneath the veil) and to be followed like a call of nature. Nature withholds the void that exists to the unaided eye of the celestials, and the rhythms transpire as keys. As the innerspace traveler is aligned with the order of the nine, disarray in the processes is suddenly reversible, and the liberated shall walk the brightened path that is not treaded afoot. This is Dark Buddha Rising.

DARK BUDDHA RISING’s Inversum is available now through the Neurot Recordings Webstore.

Dark Buddha Rising's second audio excerpt "E X O" can be heard here; sample the condensed edition of opening hymn, “E S O,” here; and you can also still view the recently released video trailer here:

Upcoming DARK BUDDHA RISING Live Events:

“Inversum is a dark oasis that Dark Buddha Rising have lost themselves in. It really feels like the band set out to create a dark opus, and through their recording sessions, have become part of its darkness as well… with Inversum, the band is opening a new cycle to their existence.” - CVLT NATION

There's an uncomfortable mood set and in time, there is a payoff. While waiting, the listener is treated to wah drenched guitars with tones that sound like the amplifiers are on fire, howling vocals that breed anger, enmity, and sadness.” - GLACIALLY MUSICAL

“A bell is struck in a silent temple. Black clouds gather over the Himalayas. A yogi lights incense in a forest, isolated. He approaches death, and is ready for the trip.” - METAL STORM

DARK BUDDHA RISING: New Teaser Video From Finnish Psychedelic Doom Cult Playing At Noisey; Inversum Release Day Draws Near

With the release of Inversum, the imminent new full-length from Finnish psychedelic doom cult, DARK BUDDHA RISING, now less than one month away, today Vice’s music portal, Noisey, offers up an ominous new video teaser for public intoxication.

Their fifth studio offering overall and first for Neurot Recordings, Inversum is a two-track exercise in the black arts of psychedelia, consuming its listeners whole into a tense, menacing realm of dark atmospheres, harrowing mysticism, tormented howls and slow, treacherous riff rumblings. In an advance and thorough investigation, Cvlt Nation commends the occult quality of the record and its minimalistic but incessant, underlying drone quality noting, “Inversum is a dark oasis that DARK BUDDHA RISING have lost themselves in. It really feels like the band set out to create a dark opus, and through their recording sessions, have become part of its darkness as well… with Inversum, the band is opening a new cycle to their existence.” Abysmal Hymns hails the band’s, “bleak post-apocalyptic tone,” while Glacially Musical elaborates, “Slow, plodding, and then full of rage and energy, these songs do not do anything quickly. There's an uncomfortable mood set and in time, there is a payoff. While waiting, the listener is treated to wah drenched guitars with tones that sound like the amplifiers are on fire, howling vocals that breed anger, enmity, and sadness.” Adds Metal Storm in a poetic analysis, “A bell is struck in a silent temple. Black clouds gather over the Himalayas. A yogi lights incense in a forest, isolated. He approaches death, and is ready for the trip.”

The latest DARK BUDDHA RISING video teaser offers up a brief taste of second movement, the twenty-three-plus minute “E X O,” combined with mystical images of doom and decay. Issues Noisey of the clip:“There are several things you need to know about DARK BUDDHA RISING. Chief among them is that they form a cornerstone of that Finnish dark psychedelia scene you've been hearing so much about. Secondly, they've got a new album coming out soon… which will come squalling into the world via Neurot…. Finally, and most importantly, it is imperative that you understand just how much they fucking rule. The video clip gives you a solid hint as to just how special this heavy, weird, hypnotic band can be”

Dark Buddha Rising Announce September Album Release Date and Reveal Artwork and Track Listing

Psychedelic doom purveyors, Dark Buddha Rising, will be releasing their fifth studio album, Inversum, on September 25th, their first release on Neurot Recordings.

The album follows their 2014 European tour with Mr. Peter Hayden, with the Finnish black psychedelic doom 6-piece deservedly garnering further recognition as masters of the art of the hypnotic and dark sonics, which they have been honing for the past 8 years since their inception.

Inversum swallows the listener into an introspective realm of dark psychedelia, menacing mysticism and weighty, trudging riffs. Dark Buddha Rising have this to say about the album:

"Inversum is the opening of the Third Cycle of Dark Buddha Rising. It acts as an initiation for the new members V. Vatanen (guitar, vocals), J. Saarivuori (keyboards) and M. Neuman (vocals), also it is the first release through Neurot Recordings. Most of all, Inversum is the first album that is recorded, produced and mixed by ourselves in the depths of the Wastement, the asylum of eternal feedback...

...The process that led to the manifestation of the Inversum, was heavily guided by both intuition and determination, in order to take the musick even further down the path we have chosen. Inversum is a monument built upon the foundation of our work and sculpted with the initial principles of Dark Buddha Rising, to celebrate the Black Arts of Psychedelia."

Below is the album artwork coming from collaboration of V. A. and Karmazid and album tracklisting, which we are proud to reveal today...

Since 2008's Ritual IX, "the group has mastered their craft album by album, show by show. Ominous riffing, colossal doom, swirling psychedelia, repetition, repetition, repetition. The recipe is carved in stone, yet it leads to different endings – or bottomless shafts. Tension, tension, tension, lunacy. I only have one advice to give: Hold tight. The winds are gathering." - words by Jukka Hätinen

DARK BUDDHA RISING, Finland's Black Psychedelic Doom Practitioners, Sign to Neurot Recordings

Ritualistic doom band Dark Buddha Rising are Neurot Recording's latest captivating signees. Hailing from Finland and with four albums already under their belt (most recently 2013's Dakhmandal), Dark Buddha Rising are of the highest caliber. Their psychedelic sprawling space jams are made up of expansive yet concentrated bellows of decaying distortion and broken-signal analogue bleeps, cannoning across antimatter, presented with staggering finesse.

Dark Buddha Rising have this to say about their new home,"We are more than honoured to be a part of the Neurot family. Their music has torn wounds so deep, that they still bleed the black blood of inspiration. We share the profound principle towards music as necessity of our existence in this universe. To proceed into the last cycle of the Ennealogy with Neurot Recordings is a predestined path to spread the art of black psychedelia."

Neurot Recordings added..."Dark Buddha Rising are one of the darkest trance inducing bands I have ever witnessed. Neurosis was lucky enough to play several shows with them last year and each night I was completely hypnotized. This is true ritual music that should not be taken lightly. This is a deep, introspective conjuring of those aspects of ourselves that are uncomfortable to come face to face with, but necessary if we are to grow. We feel very lucky to be able to work with them on their next sonic rite."

Dark Buddha Rising will be touring Europe this April with Mr. Peter Hayden, hailed as 'The Archmandal tour', the dates are as follows:

19 April - Guss39, Bülach, Switzerland
20 April - Doomed Gatherings, Glazart, Paris, France
21 April  - Little Devil, Tilburg, Netherlands
22 April  - Hühnermanhattan, Halle, Germany
23 April  - Crass Pub, Chemnitz, Germany
24 April  - TBA, Magdeburg, Germany
25 April  - Stengade, Copenhagen, Denmark
26 April  - Püssy a Go Go, The Liffey, Stockholm, Sweden
---
5 July - Roskilde Festival, Denmark
