Brothers of the Sonic Cloth to embark on their debut European tour this spring

The bellowing trio of BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH (Tad Doyle, Peggy Doyle and Dave French) embark on their first European tour this coming spring, in support of their astoundingly heavy debut self-titled full-length, which saw release last year through Neurot Recordings. This tour will see the band start with a date in London and rumble through France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Germany, before wrapping it up with a set at this year's Roadburn, the spiritual home of all things low-end and high-powered.

BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH is the sound of earthly decomposition and planetary demise; a slow, entrancing dance towards a looming apocalypse… thick, monolithic, deliberate and devouring. Fronted by Seattle’s legendary guitarist/vocalist Tad Doyle — formerly of TAD and Hog Molly -- BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH is a trio of longtime rock soldiers that includes veteran bassist Peggy Doyle and drummer Dave French (The Anunnaki). Their full-length 2015 debut maintains a long-held tradition of conjuring some of the heaviest music from the darkest depths of the Pacific Northwest.

Released via Neurot Recordings, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth was captured at Robert Lang Studios and Doyle’s own Witch Ape Studio in Seattle, Washington and mixed by Billy Anderson (Sleep, High On Fire, Melvins et al). Thrusting forth five hauntingly heavy tracks, with two bonus hymns included on the CD edition the offering serves as Doyle’s first recorded release in nearly fifteen years. BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH’s audio manifestations are welcomingly unfamiliar, splicing thick, jagged riffs through chilling post-punk drumming and hulking compositions that blow soulfully hot and desolately cold, sometimes within the confines of one track. Their long-form pieces present the kind of mature ideas and expansive progressions that outpace the listener’s short-term memory leading them off the proverbial map; familiar landmarks like sludge, post-metal, rock all but disappeared over the horizon. Authentic and authoritative, BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH is as much a persistent thudding body punch of sonic destructive force as it is a thoughtful statement of awareness and the inescapable raw condition of life.

"Perhaps his heaviest yet, tolling tombstone riffs at a pace that makes early Melvins resemble the Ramones... BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH impress with the monolithic power of their noise." - MOJO

"Tad's vocals and songwriting have broadened impressively during his sabbatical." -KERRANG

"Tad Doyle is back with a sludge rock, pagan rite of immense proportions... BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH may seem to follow the arc of a tropical storm, with a building and threatening power that finally recedes away, but it’s certainly no noodling, progressive rock concept piece. This is truly heavy music." - THE ARTS DESK

"Ultimately, BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTHS’s LP is so tasty, it’ll have you unashamedly coming back for seconds, and thirds, and fourths, and dessert, and a cheese course, and just one tiny little wafer thin mint..." - DROWNED IN SOUND

"Moving between moments of gargantuan heaviness and passages of disorientating methylated noise, whilst the likes of opener Lava will be somewhat familiar to fans of 8-Way Santa, the sprawling mass of La Mano Poderosa, that takes in elements of both mid-era Killing Joke and the abrasive and tribal riffing of, say, High On Fire, is as surprising as the piano ballad outro." - METAL HAMMER

"BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTHS’s self-titled debut is a sludgy, psychedelic piece of work that occasionally reaches Conan-esque levels of thunder and will hit your psyche in all the right places." - THRASH HITS

As their ongoing live actions attest to, both acts are unstoppable tour machines and initially joined forces for a massive 2015 North American live takeover. Amidst the chaos, the two groups found time to record together at Machines With Magnets in Providence, Rhode Island. The sessions culminated in the execution of One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, which is ultimately an audio reflection of their surroundings and their inability to cope therein. The result boasts eight scathing hymns along with two bonus tracks.

Forged in 1999 in Little Rock, Arkansas and now based in Portland, Oregon, THE BODY has been massively prolific since their inception with a sound that is uncategorized and unmatched. The duo writes and acts as one, a deafening wail against a failing species.

FULL OF HELL was formed in 2009 in Ocean City, Maryland. In similar ethos, the band has remained relentlessly productive both on stage and in recorded form and has continued to challenge themselves, channeling resonances from across the spectrum of extreme music into a uncompromising wall of oppressive sound.

Through their own respective recordings, both THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are internationally-revered as forward-thinking entities of harsh music, delivering their audio torment through incredibly intense and often unorthodox methods.

Neurot Recordings will release One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache on March 25th, 2016 with preorder bundles AVAILABLE NOW.

MIRRORS FOR PSYCHIC WARFARE Featuring Neurosis’ Scott Kelly And Buried At Sea’s Sanford Parker To Release Self-Titled Debut Via Neurot Recordings

Scott Kelly (Neurosis) and producer/engineer/sonic warlord Sanford Parker (Buried At Sea) are restless. This inquietude has culminated in another collaboration. The two work together in Corrections House, a project that also features the talents of Mike IX Williams of Eyehategod, and Bruce Lamont of Yakuza. While Corrections House seem hell-bent on impersonal bludgeon and unfettered terror, the pair’s latest project -- MIRRORS FOR PSYCHIC WARFARE -- is far more restrained.

The band's haunting self-titled debut is the sonic manifestation of insomnia, complete with the tossing, the turning, and the perennial dread that comes with facing another shabby daylight. The five songs lurch and pulsate across a desolate landscape with an almost curious obsessiveness. While Mirrors For Psychic Warfare may remind some of the best work on the classic Cold Meat Industry label, there is enough familiar Kelly/Parker-isms scattered throughout to keep the album stimulating. It is a work with more in common with a fever or a fitful wraith than a record.

Mirrors For Psychic Warfare was realized and recorded by both Kelly and Parker at Actual 13 Studio and Hypercube respectively over the course of 2015. The record was mixed and mastered by Parker and will see release this Spring via Neurot Recordings.

Mirrors For Psychic Warfare Track Listing:

1. Oracles Hex

2. A Thorn To See

3. CNN WTZ

4. I’ll Try You All

5. 43

Further info on Mirrors For Psychic Warfare – including final street date, preorders and track teaser – to be unveiled in the weeks to come. Until then, ache.

In similar ethos, the band has remained relentlessly productive both onstage and in recorded form and has continued to challenge themselves, channeling resonances from across the spectrum of extreme music into a nihilistic wall of oppressive sound.

Through their own respective recordings, both THE BODY and FULL OF HELL are internationally-revered as forward-thinking entities of harsh music, delivering their audio torment through incredibly intense and often unorthodox methods. THE BODY’s 2010-released All The Waters Of The Earth Turn To Blood sophomore LP stands among the band’s high points and remains on of the most groundbreaking and frightening albums in recent times. Their subsequent releases, including several LPs and more have continued to expand upon this seminal release. Similarly, FULL OF HELL rapidly became a favorite amongst hardcore, grind, death and noise metal fans upon their formation with an incredibly energetic and destructive live attack. Their 2013-released Rudiments Of Mutilation sophomore LP solidified them as one of the most damaging new acts going, and since its detonation, the band’s intensity and hunger for experimentation continues to magnify.

Both acts are proven collaborators, relishing the results of collective efforts to create life-numbing constellations of distortion and depravity. The two members of THE BODY have joined forces with arcane producer The Haxan Cloak (Bobby Krlic) for the I Shall Die Here long player, Louisiana’s darkest sludge troupe Thou for Released From Love and You, Whom I Have Always Hated, as well as Nothing Passes with Braveyoung and a myriad of splits with artists as diverse and detesting as Australia’s Whitehorse, Japan’s Vampillia, Rhode Island’s Sandworm and New Jersey’s Krieg taking their virulent, insidious influence to unsuspecting destinations both stateside and abroad. FULL OF HELL made a huge impression on the ears of fans and those previously unfamiliar with the band with 2014’s two-part alliance with internationally feared noisemonger Merzbow, which resulted in the FULL OF HELL & Merzbow LP and the subsequent Sister Fawn EP. Their discography is littered with noise-sodden demos and splits that wrench FULL OF HELL into fresh dimensions of heaviness and extremity, and their constant live actions never cease to stun.

Neurot Recordings will issue One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache on March 25th, 2016 with preorder bundles AVAILABLE NOW.
